Katrina’s career spans roles as CEO, artistic director, producer, CCD worker, choreographer, performer, rehearsal director, educator and creative mentor since 1994.

She has been the CEO/Artistic Director at The Mill since 2018 and started with the organisation as Program Manager in 2017. Her experience  includes; Founder and Artistic Director of Dance Theatre company ‘One Point 618’, Assistant Producer at The Royal Croquet Club, South Australia, Founding Creative Producer of Expressway Arts, Carclew Youth Arts and Onkaparinga City Council, Director of the ACT Youth Dance Festival and Project Artistic Director of Buzz Dance Theatre, WA.

She has worked as a dance and theatre performer and choreographer nationally and internationally over the span of her career. She graduated with a BA in Dance at the University of Adelaide in 1996, Honours in Dance at WAAPA in 2001 and studied at the Hooger Instituit Voor Danse in Belgium in 1997.

As a performer, rehearsal director and assistant to the director she has worked for companies; Buzz Dance Theatre, Patch Theatre Company, The PaperBoats, STRUT Dance, Steamworks Arts Productions, Perth Theatre Company, Leigh Warren & Dancers, Restless Dance Theatre, Steps Youth Dance Company, Move Through Life Dance Company, Diwali Dance House and Ronin Dance Company.

As a choreographer she has worked for companies and produced work for organisations such as; Adelaide Festival Centre’s inSPACE/Something on Saturday and CentrEd Programs, Australian Dance Theatre, Adelaide Fringe Festival, Adelaide Feast Festival, Come Out Festival, Strut Dance, Artrage WA, Blueroom Theatre, Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts, SA Independent Dance Collection, Choreolab SA and Adelaide College of the Arts. 

As a community development worker and educator, she has worked with national organisations; Country Arts SA, Adelaide Festival CentreEd Program, Ausdance SA/WA/ACT/NSW&QLD, The Australian Council for Health, Physical Education & Recreation, Carclew Youth Arts, Riverland Youth Theatre, University of Notre Dame WA, Flinders University SA, Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, TAFE SA, Actors NOW, Media And Arts Alliance, Meeralinga Children’s Festival, City of Joondalup’s Little Feet Festival, Whiteman Park’s Ground Water Festival, Port Headland’s School of the Air Camps, Derby’s Boab Festival West Kimberley/Festival’s Australia initiative, specialist dance teacher in national metropolitan, regional and international schools independently and with education companies Buzz Dance Theatre and Patch Theatre Company.

Katrina has been a Board member for organisations including; Access2Arts, Steps Youth Dance Company WA, Buzz Dance Theatre and Ausdance SA. She has sat on assessment panels including; Arts SA Community and Cultural Development Panel, Assessor at Adelaide College of The Arts (TAFE), Arts SA Independent Makers and Presenters Panel and Country Arts SA’s Grants assessment panel.
