Application writing can be stressful at best, so how do you ensure you’re putting your best foot forward?

Application checklist:

  • Spend time addressing and responding to each of the application criteria

  • Describe what your work will be and what it will look like

  • Use high quality images

  • Use your strongest images for examples of work

  • Demonstrate your artistic ability

  • Include any collaborators and mentors, it shows ambition!

  • Include your website, social media and portfolio (make sure your links work)

  • Provide a concise conceptualisation, why are you doing this?

  • Make sure your ideas are achievable in the residency timeframe
