Annie Millard is a South Australian visual artist and graphic designer whose practice spans painting, drawing, and printmaking. With a background in design dating back to the 1990s, Annie brings a strong sense of visual storytelling and refined craft to both her commercial and personal work.
Her art practice is driven by a deep interest in portraiture and the expressive potential of mark-making. Influenced by lived experience and memory, her works often explore the spaces we inhabit—physically and emotionally—and the quiet tension between presence and reflection.
Annie has studied at the University of Adelaide (Bachelor of Design), North Adelaide School of Art, and Central School of Art, and most recently with realist artist Rob Gutteridge. She maintains an active freelance design practice while developing her studio-based artwork, often balancing both worlds with curiosity and commitment.
At The Mill, Annie looks forward to expanding her printmaking practice, connecting with fellow residents, and exchanging ideas and techniques across disciplines. She will also base her freelance design work at the space, blending creativity and collaboration within a vibrant artistic community.
