I was born in Aprilia, Italy but grew up in Rome where I was taught the art of painting with different mediums, such as acrylics, oils, soft pastels and powdered pigments privately by 3 women artists.
In 2008 I joined the school of arts and trade in Via san Giacomo in Rome where I learnt live drawing, drawing and chiaro scuro. In the same year I had my first experience with a group exhibition at the St Angel’s Castle in Rome. From this exhibition my work was featured in a private collection in France.
In 2010 I decided to move down under in pursuit of artistic and personal growth. The beginning was tough and I had to set my passion aside for some time to settle in. In 2021 I finally started painting again and attended the Splashout art studios in Marino-South Australia to refresh my skills until 2024.
Currently I am doing the Mastery program with the Milan art institute online which is helping me to find my voice and new painting techniques.
My favourite subjects are cats and figurative portraits, story telling and most of all beauty, the beauty that surrounds me. Art helped me during a very difficult time of my life back in Rome and since then I never looked back. I also run a small market stall for my art called MimisArt where I sell my art prints and merchandise. I usually trade at the Glenelg and Willunga artisan market monthly.
When I am not painting I work as veterinary nurse in Adelaide which is where I take most of my inspiration and art commissions from.
