WAYIN:THI Collective

WAYIN:THI Collective is a bold new platform grounded in culture, self-determination, and performance-making.

The Collective is dedicated to amplifying the voices of South Australian First Nations dance and performance artists, creating greater visibility and recognition for their powerful stories and creative practice.

The Mill is proud to make this initiative possible - producing, programming, and providing the infrastructure that supports Creative Leaders Caleena Sansbury and Kaine Sultan-Babij as they bring this vision to life. The Mill continues its strong commitment to advocating for and mentoring First Nations artists, building on the legacy of its First Nations Dance Program.

Guided by Caleena and Kaine’s deep cultural knowledge, movement practice, and storytelling, WAYIN:THI will lead artists through collaborative creative processes towards bold new dance works and performance outcomes.

This is movement. This is story. This is WAYIN:THI.

WAYIN:THI means move and or flow in Kaurna language.
