Disability Access Studio

We are excited to open the call-out for our new Disability Access Studio, presented in partnership with the Honig Foundation and Access2Arts.

One South Australian-based Disabled artist will be given the opportunity to join The Mill community, receiving a 6-month studio space in 2026, and an opportunity to share about their practice through a public artist talk. The artist will be selected through an open call-out.

The selected artist will join our community of studio artists with their own private workspace at 154 Angas St, allowing them to develop their practice within a professional environment. Working at The Mill positions artists alongside other professional and emerging artists, providing encouragement, and inspiration and facilitating networking and collaboration.

The successful applicant will receive:

  • 6 months access to a private studio at The Mill

  • Site review and access rider developed with Access2Arts

  • Studio upgrades to the value of $500 to support accessibility

  • $1500 materials fee, towards the creation of new work

  • Photographic documentation of the artist in the studio

  • $305 artist fee plus superannuation for artist talk

  • Mentorship and support from The Mill’s team

  • Access check-ins with Access2Arts

If you have any questions, or would prefer to apply via phone call or zoom, please email visualarts@themilladelaide.com
